Vfacepainter's terms & conditions

1. A £50 retainer fee is required to secure your booking via PayPal or bank transfer. It is non-refundable but can be rescheduled to another date. In exceptional circumstances, such as a pandemic, this may be refunded at the artist's discretion.

2. The quoted balance is due upon Artist’s arrival, (unless paid in full prior to the event or other arrangements have been made).

3. Client agrees to pay the full quoted amount even if Client uses Artist(s) for less time than booked for.

4. Should the Artist become unwell, the retainer will be refunded, and every effort will be made to find a replacement.

5. Overtime: Any time beyond the time booked will cost £50 ½ hour, per Artist.

6. It is the client’s responsibility to notify attendees that face painting is available at their event, to enable parents to decide whether they wish their children to be painted.

7. If the Client requests that Artist(s) paint both children and adults, the Artist(s) will paint all the children first (unless prior arrangements are made between the client and Artist).

8. Limitations on Artwork: Artists will not paint any design or wording that is obscene, offensive or defies good taste. Artists will not paint any designs they are not comfortable with. This is at the artist's discretion. 

9. Please ensure the artist has a safe area to work in, with adequate cover available in case of high wind, cold or rainy conditions, or shade in case of hot weather. A gazebo can be provided by the artist(s) if outdoor, so please indicate if this is required when booking.

10. Artist has the right to cease painting and leave without refunding any monies if there are extremely adverse working conditions and the client fails to remedy the situation

i) After it has been brought to the Client’s attention. Adverse conditions included but not limited to destructive, violent, or extremely inappropriate behaviour of a child or adult; illegal activities; dangerous conditions.

11. Artists are not liable for allergic reactions to paints. Children with skin allergies or sensitive skin should either not participate, or have the Artist perform a patch test at the beginning of the party or event. For safety reasons, artists will not paint full faces on children under 3 years of age, for children over 2, small arm designs will be offered IF they are able to sit still and want to be painted. For hygiene reasons, artists will not paint anyone who is or appears to be sick or suffering from: cold sores; conjunctivitis; any infectious skin condition; eczema or open wounds.

12. Artists will use reasonable care but are not responsible for damage to clothing or property. The Client agrees to pay for any accidents or injuries caused by pets or guests, and/or any damage to Artist’s equipment or supplies caused by pets or guests.

13. Artists WILL NOT supervise children. Their behaviour and safety are the Client’s and/or Parents’ responsibility. Artists cannot see other children and what they are doing while painting.

14. The information provided on this form is for the purposes of this booking only. This information is not shared or sold to any third parties. You will only receive further contact if you agree below to receive emails from us that we deem relevant or helpful to you based on this booking. 

If you agree there is likely to be very little contact from us, we will never inundate you with marketing

The Artist provided will hold a PLI of at least £5,000,000 and will observe health and hygiene protocols and, where possible, be in possession of a valid DBS check.
